Public registry
This is every claimed star record — 15 in total. No account and no payment needed; anyone can read it. The whole point of publishing this registry is that you can verify for yourself whether a star has been claimed twice.
What counts as a successful check
You do not need to know GitHub — just follow these three steps:
Get the star identifier
The certificate or permanent link page shows an identifier such as HIP-91262.
Search it in the table below
Type the identifier into the search box. If exactly one record comes back, the star has been claimed only once.
You can read the raw files too
Each record is a plain text file in the public repository, which anyone can open, download and keep long term.

Each claim is stored as data/registrations/{slug}.json, and the index file is https://www.star.org/data/registry-index.json. Records contain no email addresses, order numbers or other identifying data; the star identifier maps one-to-one to a claim record, so duplicate detection can be automated. The full directory is in the public repository.
